Located in the South of Paris, the Cité internationale is one of the main accommodation centers for foreign students where residents from the world over find a very enjoyable living environment.
Presentation :
5600 students are accommodated in the
40 students’ residences (called Houses) of Cité Internationale, on a 34 hectare wooded park, in the 14th district of Paris.
Prices vary according to residences :
between 350 and 450 euros per month for an individual room if you are a student, and
between 500 and 800 euros per month if you are a researcher.
In 2005, the Cité has been expanded with the opening of two new residences : Lilas and Quai de Loire in the 19th district. These two residences, run by the Cité administration, offer accommodation to students who have obtained a scholarship from the Paris CROUS.
The Cité also offers a wide range of facilities and services, such as a theatre, restaurants, sporting facilities and libraries that are accessible to all students, whether they are residents or not.
Admission conditions :
Owing to a strong demand, accommodation at the Cité Universitaire is not accessible to all.
Rooms are reserved to
students who have signed up for a Master 1 (minimum level) in a higher educational institution or one of the universities of the Paris, Créteil, Versailles academic districts.

Admission is granted for a one year period and can be renewed twice.

Each residence represents a country, an institution or a foundation. If
your country is represented by one of the houses, your application must be sent directly there.

Please note that it is impossible to welcome all the applicants at the Cité Internationale. We therefore recommend you not to wait for the answer of the Cité to look for a room elsewhere.
Rooms at Cité Internationale are also available during the summer period. You must be a student above 18 and be able to present a copy of your student card of the past academic year as proof of your status.
