If you are coming as part of an Erasmus exchange programme for EU students, you may apply for an Erasmus scholarship.
• Financial support for Erasmus students
The Erasmus mobility allowance is designed to cover the additional expenses incurred during a foreign stay (e.g. travel expenses and higher cost of living).
The amount of the Erasmus allowance varies from one country to another. A French Erasmus student, for example, receives an allowance of 120 euros per month on average for study mobility and 500 euros per month on average for internship mobility.
The Erasmus allowance is not granted automatically, and it is possible to enjoy Erasmus status without receiving the allowance.
• How to apply for an Erasmus scholarship
First of all, to be entitled to apply for an Erasmus scholarship, you must be selected by your university to participate in an Erasmus exchange programme.
The Erasmus-scholarship application procedure differs from one country to another. For details, contact your university's International Relations department (the department that handles Erasmus exchanges).
